Residents of Lakeside Beikirch Care Center had a special guest for their March 31 coffee hour. Brockport Police Sergeant Mark Cuzzupoli joined the group answering questions and enjoying good conversation and home-baked goodies.

Sergeant Cuzzupoli discussed how his career in law enforcement unfolded and explained the twenty pounds of equipment he carries on his belt. He also showed the group the bulkiness of the bullet-proof vest that he wears under his uniform.

"The residents look forward to this visit every month," states Recreation Specialist Kristen Smith. "The interaction with the officers is always a bright spot for them. It provides them an opportunity to mingle with special guests in a private, social setting and allows the residents to maintain a certain quality of life. We are thankful that the officers are so willing to spend some of their time with our residents."
